As soon as it arrives at the processing site, the San Marzano tomato is unloaded in the washing tanks where in several stages it is freed from all the impurities of the harvesting field. The tomato is then transported by mobile belts to the peeling area where powerful jets of purified water vapour free it from the skin.
The tomato then continues its way through to the selection and canning area where experienced staff prepare the excellently selected products in enamelled tin cans previously sterilized.
The prepared canned products then proceed into the sterile chamber where the jar is sealed and then cooled down to room temperature and then sent through to labelling and palletization and storage.
From the field and throughout the production process, our experienced technicians constantly perform strict inspections, of the seeds, water, soil, cultivation systems, harvesting and so forth up to the packaged product to ensure that consumers are purchasing a typical product which is healthy and of superior quality.
